Alexis Sanchez was excellent in Chile‘s friendly with Peru last night, despite being kicked from pillar to post by the Peru defence.

Chile ran out 3-0 winners thanks to a brace from Eduardo Vargas and Gary Medel’s 34th minute goal.

But it was Alexis Sanchez who stole the show.

The Peru players were unable to deal with his direct play and outright pace, with one defender forced to push the Arsenal player through the advertising boards to stop him.

Despite the impressive scoreline, it was a hard-fought and tension filled contest.

Both teams played expansive and aggressive football, until things began to boil over when a tackle from Carlos Zambrano on Sanchez sent the attacker flying into the advertising boards on the wing:
