Ryan Giggs was the latest recipient of the Legend of Football award at the HMV Football Extravaganza last night.
The former Manchester United winger hung up his boots at the end of last season to become the full-time assistant manager at Old Trafford.
Giggs has formed a solid partnership with new boss Louis Van Gaal, with it widely expected the Welshman will take the helm when Van Gaal’s project reaches its completion.
But for now, Giggs is happy to be the Dutchman’s understudy and to watch keenly from the sidelines.
This of course gives the most decorated player in Premier League history a lot more time on his hands than he’s used to, and he seems to be enjoying his new freedom.
At least that’s if this epic selfie taken with Stereophonics frontman Kelly Jones is anything to go by.

Welsh rockers Stereophonics provided the entertainment at the ceremony, playing for a host of football legends with Bryan Robson, Patrick Kluivert and Paul Scholes in attendance.
And the band couldn’t help but get up close and personal with arguably the best Welsh player of all time when Jones took this selfie:
Jones posted the pic to the band’s official Facebook account, accompanied with the caption, “Was an honour to play for the legend Ryan Giggs last night!”
